Bristol Balloon Fiesta 2014
It’s that time of year again as the Bristol Balloon Fiesta is coming back around and all of us here at Launa Windows couldn’t be more excited. Launa Windows is a proud sponsor of the 36th fiesta for the 2nd year in a row and we want to encourage you to enjoy the fiesta with us. This year the fiesta falls on the 7th August – 10th August, so write down the dates in your calendar, you won’t want to miss it. There’s going to be a full four days of all sorts from breakfast with balloons at sunrise to the after dark nightglow.
As a proud sponsor we couldn’t resist helping out our customers and readers because we know that shadowing all the anticipation is unanswered questions. Where do I park? What will the weather be like? What is the best time to go? That’s where we come in. You can actually book the parking online via their website which includes 3 categories, premium parking (£10), advanced parking (£6) and disabled parking (£6). As for the weather, we can only hope that the sun makes an appearance. The best time to go to the fiesta isn’t as easy to answer but continue reading and you’ll find out.
The festival begins as early as 6am, early isn’t it? But if you want a good spot with the kind of view you could never get during the day then this is the time for you. You can even grab a spot of breakfast and watch to balloons descend over the morning sun, pure bliss.
When it comes to the evening, the nightglows are where you will want to be. They will take place around 9:15pm on Thursday 7th and Saturday 9th. We recommend you arrive early; it’s the key to fulfilling your experience. This is the perfect environment to sit down on a picnic blanket with a few beers (soft drinks for the kids) and relax under the night sky. Things get more exciting with the perfect form of closure but you’ll have wait and find that out, we wouldn’t want to spoil it.
If you’re not early risers or have a family who won’t make it past 9.00pm then by all means visit during the day. The atmosphere will leave you buzzing and the fiesta isn’t just balloons, there’s a fairground for the thrill seekers, a huge variety of food cuisines for the foodies and for those with a sweet tooth there’s a pick n mix tent and a ice cream vans. Finally for those who love a music festival, there’s also a bandstand with a lineup of local talent – there really is something for everyone.
We could write and reveal more and more about the fiesta but that would eliminate the essence of surprise. The rest is up to you to discover.
We looking seeing you there.
